Outlook Express SMTP Authentication

To begin the setup process double click the Outlook Express icon on your desktop or select it from the Start Menu under Programs.

1. Launch Outlook Express

2. Select Tools from the menu bar and choose Accounts.

3. Click the Mail tab from the top of the Internet Accounts window. (Figure 1)

4. Highlight your HunTel.net email account and click Properties.

5. In the Account Properties window, click on the Servers tab.

6. In the "Outgoing Mail Server" section, check the box that says "My server requires authentication." (Figure 2)

7. You don't need to click on the settings button as it is already set correctly by default. (Figure 3)

8. Click Ok to save the changes.

9. Click Close to close the Internet Accounts window.

Your account is now setup for sending mail with HunTel.net.

Hosted Domains

For email accounts other than @huntel.net that are registered and hosted by HunTel.net, you need to follow the procedures above and make sure that your Account name is still setup to be your ENTIRE EMAIL ADDRESS. (Figure 4)
