I click on the "Remove"
or "More Info" link, and
it doesn't work?
In some
cases, you may receive SPAM from a company with an established Web site
containing a link to that company’s privacy policy. You’re more likely
to see this with a reputable or well-known company. In such a case, it
may be helpful to you to go to the company’s Web site and click on the
link to their privacy policy; this will give you more information about
how they handle SPAM and unsubscribe requests.
SPAM
usually does not come from a reputable company, and often you will not
find a privacy policy, or even a website of any kind. This is
because they do not want to be contacted regarding the sending of
SPAM messages.
You may
wonder, "if they want me to buy their product, why wouldn't they put
legitimate links on the SPAM message?" and you would be correct to
wonder that. You would be even more correct not do business with
any company that is dishonest in its dealings with you.
