Q.  What product do you recommend?

A.  HunTel.net technicians have tested several different Content Filtering packages.  We have determined that Net Nanny best fits the needs of our customers.  It is also one of the more cost effective solutions that we could find.

Q.  Is Net Nanny better than other content filtering solutions?

A.  This is up for debate.  We believe that Net Nanny provides a great number of features that our customers can take advantage of.  Net Nanny is also very easy to configure and use.  Net Nanny has been around for a long time and they have a good reputation around the Internet.

Q.  Can I use a different content filtering service?

A.  Absolutely!  You can use any software package that you would like or you can use none at all.  This is completely up to you to decide.

Q.  How much is it going to cost me?

A.  Net Nanny is available on the web for purchase and download at $39.95 for one computer.  There are other pricing packages available.  They can be found at the Net Nanny home page.

Q.  Is there going to be a subscription fee? 

A.  At this time Net Nanny has no subscription fee, you only have to pay for it once.  They also provide free updates.  This is one of the reasons that we picked this product to suggest to our customers.  However we cannot promise that their policy of providing free updates will not change in the future.

Q.  Is installing Net Nanny going to mess up anything else in my computer?

A.  It shouldn't, but if there are installation or configuration problems you can contact Net Nanny support on the web for assistance.

Q.  Will Net Nanny filter my email too? 

A.  Net Nanny does not filter email.  It is designed to filter web content only.  Our E-Shield product provides email filtering.

Q.  Will I still need E-Shield?

A.  Net Nanny and E-Shield are two completely different products.  Net Nanny will filter web sites where E-Shield will not.  E-Shield will protect your email from viruses and also block SPAM messages that you would normally receive.

Q.  What if I can't figure it out? 

A.  First, visit our Net Nanny support page.  If you need additional assistance, call Net Nanny or call us!  All of our technicians have installed this product and are familiar with the configuration.  If we can not answer your questions, then we can get you in contact with a Net Nanny technician who can. 

Q.  Does HunTel.net offer FREE support for Net Nanny?

A.  HunTel.net will answer questions over the phone or email dealing with Net Nanny free of charge.  We will even let you bring your computer to us if you would like us to install Net Nanny for you.  We would only charge you if you asked us to come to your residence or business to work on Net Nanny there.  This is the same policy that we have with all of our Internet services.
